Job summary

Hotelstaff is actively recruiting casual chefs to join our Melbourne and regional Victoria teams for a busy season ahead. Immediate start and ongoing shifts across major events, premium venues, hotels and functions give chefs the chance to showcase their skills.

You'll work in fast-paced kitchens with above-award hourly rates, penalties, super and overtime. Weekly pay and strong agency support help you manage your schedule and stay in demand throughout spring and beyond.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified with 5+ years in fast-paced kitchens.
• Experience in fine dining and hatted venues is highly regarded.
• Confident with kitchen operations and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Work across major events, venues and functions in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
• Maintain food safety standards and professional kitchen practices.
• Assist in fast-paced kitchen operations and adapt to flexible rosters; contribute to team quality.

We’re Looking for Chefs Who Are

• Trade-qualified, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in fast-paced kitchens

• Experienced in fine dining and hatted venues (highly regarded)

• Confident with kitchen operations and committed to food safety best practices

• Adaptable, reliable and professional, with a strong work ethic

• Ready to embrace the busy spring events season

• Flexible, open-minded and ready to roll up your sleeves wherever needed

What You’ll Need to Apply

• To be living in Victoria

• Full Australian working rights

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments

• Flexibility to work varied shifts at different locations around Melbourne

• Ability to travel to outer suburbs (beneficial)

• Police Check and Working With Children's Check preferable but not mandatory
