Job summary

APA Group in Darwin is seeking a Team Lead Asset Engineering to lead the Northern Territory gas transmission assets and guide the NT engineering team to drive safety, reliability and capital delivery. Reporting to the Head of Asset Operations & Engineering NT, you will shape asset strategy and integrate major assets into operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering with experience in gas transmission pipelines.
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing others.
• Knowledge of engineering systems, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across technical, operational and commercial teams.
• Sound organisational and commercial skills with budget management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the Northern Territory engineering team, creating a collaborative environment where people can do their best work.
• Guide the delivery of engineering activities and projects with a focus on safety, quality and reliable outcomes.
• Develop and maintain engineering systems and procedures that support regulatory compliance and APA requirements.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to ensure they have support and resources to succeed.
• Partner with operations, engineering and technical teams to solve problems and deliver shared outcomes.
• Manage relationships with contractors, clients and stakeholders while supporting budget planning and expenditure management.
