Job summary

APA Group is seeking a Development Lead to drive technical development of energy infrastructure opportunities across the NT and Queensland, engaging customers as a technical expert from concept through prefeasibility.

You will lead concept development, techno-economic assessments and coordination of multidisciplinary teams to mature investment-ready pathways for pipelines, processing and storage facilities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in gas, energy, hydrocarbons, resources or major infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading concept development, option assessment, feasibility or prefeasibility studies.
• Strong understanding of gas energy infrastructure systems, including gas conditioning, transmission and storage.
• Experience undertaking techno-economic assessments, development cost estimation and evaluation of alternative infrastructure solutions.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with customers, senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of APA’s NT and Queensland opportunity portfolio, progressing multiple initiatives concurrently.
• Partner with Energy Solutions and Business Development to engage customers and define requirements.
• Develop and evaluate integrated infrastructure concepts involving pipelines, compression, processing facilities, storage and related energy infrastructure solutions.
• Lead concept selection, development engineering, techno-economic assessments and prefeasibility studies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, operational and external technical resources to progress opportunities through gates.
• Provide trusted technical advice balancing technical, commercial, constructability and operational considerations.
