Salvos Stores North Brisbane is seeking an Area Manager to lead a network of stores across Morayfield, Redcliffe, and Brendale from the Carole Park base. The role combines retail leadership with mission-driven work, empowering store teams and delivering exceptional customer and donor experiences.

• Demonstrated success in multi-site retail management.
• Excellent people leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams through change.
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence with business reporting.
• A hands-on approach and a heart for community impact.

Responsibilities

• Inspire, coach, and develop a passionate team of Store Managers, paid staff, and volunteers.
• Collaborate with the Regional Manager to align area performance with national strategy.
• Lead your area to meet key KPIs—sales, surplus, safety, and service—including eCommerce-related goals.
• Champion operational excellence, merchandising standards, and a “safety-first” culture.
• Analyse and act on business reports to drive strong commercial and social results.
• Manage new store openings, refurbishments, and store transitions.
• Proactively recruit and retain volunteers and employees across all locations.
