North Bloodstock, a newly created thoroughbred nursery in the Hunter Valley near Scone, is seeking an enthusiastic team player for the 2027 yearling team. The role focuses on yearling prep with attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Experience with yearlings is preferred, but a supportive team will help you grow your knowledge and skills in paddock management, feeding, grooming, and presenting horses for viewing. Applicants should share a passion for horses and a high standard of care.
North Bloodstock are looking for an enthusiastic person, with a passion for horses to join our 2027 yearling team. We are a ‘family run farm’ and pride ourselves in each team member feeling like they are part of the big picture.
The ideal candidate would have yearling prep experience and be able to commit from late October until after the Easter sale. While we would prefer someone with yearling experience, you will be working along some great people who can help your knowledge and experience grow.
We run with smaller drafts which allows you to really put your mark on the yearlings in prep.
North is a newly created thoroughbred nursery located in the heart of the Hunter Valley, just 12 minutes from Scone. North is owned and operated by renowned industry participates Michael Malone and Pauline Alix, both in which have over 50 years experience between them. North is located over two properties within Scone comprising of over 400 acres, 35+ boxes and state of the art facilites for your future equine athlete. North offers a range of services from sales consignment, foaling and breeding right thorugh to bloodstock selection and advice.
