Yarraman Park in the Hunter Valley region near Scone is seeking an Assistant Yearling Manager for a full-time, on-farm role. The successful candidate will lead a small team through the yearling prep process and ensure every yearling is prepared to the highest standard, with strong team communication and a hands-on approach.

Job description

Located in Australia's famed Hunter Valley region, Yarraman Park is situated just 15 minutes from Scone, NSW. The farm is one of the country's most progressive thoroughbred studs and offers an elite group of yearlings at all major Australian yearling sales, over the last 12 months Yarraman has produced 11 new stakes winners including two G1-winning two-year-old colts.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Yearling Manager to join the team in a full-time role. Prior experience in a similar role is desirable, and the successful applicant will have a comprehensive understanding of the thoroughbred industry.

Skills and attributes required:

• Reliable with a great work ethic
• Hands-on thoroughbred experience in a similar role
• An eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly
• Must work well as part of a team
• An up-to-date driver's licence

• Strong team leadership skills with experience managing a small team of staff throughout the yearling prep process, ensuring horses are presented to the highest standard.

A high level of experience and in-depth knowledge about preparing yearlings to the highest standard is required.
