Job summary

Turramurra Kindergarten in Sydney's Upper North Shore is seeking a warm, hands-on Nominated Supervisor to lead our growing team. You will ensure health, safety and wellbeing of children, staff and volunteers, and act as the RPIC with strong NQF, EYLF and compliance knowledge.

You will mentor room leaders, build enrolments through tours, manage curriculum, and collaborate with a hands-on owner. The role offers an above-award salary, extensive training, and a supportive senior team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education approved by ACECQA.
• Experience leading a service and RPIC responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of NQS, EYLF and regulatory compliance.

We're hiring: Senior management - Nominated Supervisor, at Turramurra on the Northshore.

Turramurra kindergarten is family run service on the Upper North Shore, with two rooms and up to 50 children a day.

Our service has been established for over three years. Our vision is to generate a whole hearted and all encompassing family atmosphere where all educators and families feel enthused to work together as a team. Turramurra offers a nurturing long day care for children aged 6 weeks- 5 years old. We focus on building strong foundations for school and life - supporting each child's social, emotional, and cognitive development in a safe and welcoming environment.

The Role

• We are looking for an experienced warm, hands on Nominated Supervisor to lead our growing team.
• The successful candidate must have;
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA - approved)
• Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all enrolled children, staff, and volunteers at the service
• Be the responsible person in charge (RPIC) at the service
• Ensure all staff fulfill all aspects of their curriculum
• Provide ongoing support and assistance to the management team in all areas of administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, and any other areas as the need arises
• Promote and sell the service and ensure optimal centre occupancy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of business management
• Strong understanding of the importance of family communications and family relations
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
• Leadership and mentoring skills
• Passionate about implementing early learning programs
• Current WWCC, first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis and child protection training, Gecko training and police check within the last 6 months
• Leadership experience and training (Director, 2IC and or Nominated Supervisor)
• Strong NQF, EYLF and compliance knowledge
• Current WWCC, first aid, child protection training and recent refresher training and child safety training (including further advanced Gecko training)
• Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role
• Practical experience in Assessment and Rating would be ideal
• Strong knowledge of the NQS, EYLF and a strong compliance knowledge
• Strong knowledge of using a software program i.e. OWNA
• Ability to work allocated shifts between 7am-6pm (Monday to Friday - excluding public holidays - noting we are also closed over the Christmas/New Year period)
• Warmth, organisation and a genuine love of building great teams
• Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

What you will do
