Job summary

Lindsay Transport, part of Lindsay Australia Limited, is seeking a Nightshift Transport Allocator to join our Brisbane team. You will coordinate local driver runs, plan loads and dispatch freight to meet customer deadlines. This hands-on role requires strong organisation, prioritisation and communication with drivers, depots and maintenance teams.

Nightshift roster options: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. Start times will be confirmed for each position.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport allocation, scheduling, dispatch or a similar operations role.
• An understanding of fatigue management, mass limits and Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to work with a diverse workforce
• A logical, organised approach and the ability to take ownership of your work
• Flexibility to work the required nightshift roster, including weekends

Responsibilities

• Coordinate local driver allocations and deliveries
• Plan and build loads to meet customer requirements
• Manage equipment and resources to support efficient operations
• Raise and reconcile freight bills
• Work closely with operations, depot teams, floor staff and maintenance
• Ensure proof of delivery (POD) documentation is retrieved and uploaded
• Monitor fleet performance and report against KPIs
• Monitor compliance with fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
• Support safe work practices and conduct site safety audits

We're looking for a Nightshift Transport Allocator to join our Brisbane team, coordinating local driver runs and ensuring freight is planned, loaded and dispatched on time. This is a hands-on role where no two shifts are necessarily the same. You'll need to stay organised, adapt when priorities change and work closely with drivers and depot teams to keep the operation running smoothly.
