Job summary

Lindsay Transport, a division of Lindsay Australia Limited, is Australia’s leading transporter of fresh and refrigerated produce. We are seeking a Nightshift Allocator at our Sydney depot in Erskine Park to coordinate freight, plan loads, and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires proactive coordination with drivers and depot teams, strong time management, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar role and industry highly regarded
• Knowledge of freight coordination and load planning best practices
• Familiarity with fatigue and mass monitoring and legislative requirements
• Clear and concise communication with diverse teams
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate freight and deliveries for local drivers
• Plan and build loads in line with customer requirements
• Manage equipment and resources to maximise throughput
• Raise and reconcile freight bills and ensure accuracy
• Liaise with NTO and depot teams to ensure smooth operations
• Facilitate retrieval and imaging of POD documentation
• Monitor fleet performance against KPIs and maintain safety standards

2 x Nightshift positions available: Tuesday to Saturday | 6pm to 4am Sunday to Thursday | 8pm to 6am

What You’ll Do:

Our Sydney depot has an opening for a Nightshift Allocator —a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of freight. This fast-paced position requires a proactive and strategic approach to managing freight coordination. The primary objective is to ensure freight is received, loaded, and dispatched efficiently while meeting strict deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.

• Co-ordination of freight and deliveries for local drivers
• Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements
• Equipment and resource planning
• Raising and reconciling freight bills
• Liaising with NTO, other Ops & Depot teams, floor staff and maintenance to ensure operations are run efficiently
• Facilitating the retrieval and imaging of all proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
• Monitor and reporting on the performance of the fleet in accordance with specific KPIs
• Monitoring compliance with fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
• Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace with site safety auditing

What You’ll Bring:

• Prior experience in a similar role and industry highly regarded
• Knowledge and monitoring of fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements
• Understanding of the chain of responsibility
• Professional presentation with a friendly and helpful manner with an ability to deal effectively with a diverse workforce
• Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines and take responsibility for your output and the quality of your work
• A mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to your work
• Clear and concise communication skills
