Blacks Transport is seeking an experienced forklift driver to join our night crew at the Park Ridge depot. The casual role runs Sunday night to Thursday night, starting at 7pm, with Friday and Saturday nights off.

You will load local body trucks, stage freight, and work with the night team to ensure the fleet is ready for morning deliveries. Candidates should hold a current LF Forklift Licence and have proven forklift experience in a transport or general freight environment.

Casual Position | 7pm Start | Sunday to Thursday Nights

By the time Brisbane wakes up, our local delivery trucks need to be loaded, organised and ready to get moving.

That's where you come in.

We're looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our night crew at Blacks Transport in Park Ridge.

This is a busy, practical role focused on preparing our local fleet for the following day's deliveries. You'll be loading body trucks, organising general freight and working alongside the night team to make sure everything is where it needs to be before the morning shift arrives.

Your working week starts Sunday night and finishes Thursday night, leaving Friday and Saturday nights free.

What You'll Be Doing

Your main responsibility will be loading our local body truck fleet for the following day's deliveries.

This includes:

• Loading local body trucks safely and efficiently
• Organising and staging freight for the correct delivery runs
• Using freight scanners to check and confirm freight movements
• Ensuring freight is loaded securely and in the correct sequence
• Checking freight against load requirements and identifying discrepancies
• Assisting with linehaul loading when required
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Working closely with the night crew to ensure the local fleet is ready for the morning

The quality of the work completed overnight has a direct impact on how smoothly the following day runs.

What We're Looking For

A current LF Forklift Licence is essential.

We're also looking for:

• Previous forklift experience in a transport or general freight environment
• Confidence loading trucks and handling mixed freight
• Experience using freight scanners
• A good understanding of load restraint and safe freight handling
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• Reliability and the ability to work the required night shift roster
• Good communication and a willingness to work as part of a team

Experience loading local delivery trucks would be particularly valuable.

We don't expect everything to go perfectly every night. Freight arrives late, priorities change and plans sometimes need adjusting.

What matters is having people who can work through those challenges, communicate properly and keep things moving safely.
