Qualifications

• Must be physically able to stand, walk, lift and carry heavy quarters.

Responsibilities

• Deliver carcass meat and other products to customers and delivery locations.
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with road transport laws and company procedures.
• Complete pre-start checks and report vehicle defects or safety concerns.
• Obtain delivery documentation or electronic confirmations from customers.
• Work independently or as part of a team and be reliable on a night shift roster.

Job description

Alexander Downs Group is searching for a Night Shift Truck Driver who is able to deliver carcass meat to clients, based out of our facility in Kurri Kurri.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all products are correctly checked, loaded, secured, transported and delivered in accordance with customer requirements, company procedures, food safety standards, workplace health and safety requirements and relevant transport legislation.

In this role - we are looking for someone who can:

Be physically able and willing - this role has frequent movement between the loading area, cool rooms, dispatch areas and trucks. Tasks involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting and carryingof heavy quarters.

Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with road and transport legislation.

Have an understanding of work health and safety rules and regulations.

Have an understanding of food safety, hygiene, sanitation and biosecurity procedures.

Complete pre-starts and report vehicle defects, maintenance requests or safety concerns.

Deliver carcass meat, cartons and other products to customers and designated delivery locations.

Obtain required delivery documentation, signatures or electronic confirmation from customers.

Be able to work independently, but also able to work apart of a team.

Be able to work on a night shift roster.

Be reliable and punctual.

The right candidate will also have:

Full Australian Working Rights.

Valid Australian Drivers Licence (HR).

Basic understanding of logistics/loading/unloading (we are open to training opportunities for the right candidate).
