Job summary

Team Global Express in Emerald is seeking an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to join our Emerald team, a hands-on leadership role coordinating freight operations, supervising drivers and ensuring the safe, efficient movement of freight while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport, logistics or operations supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, with ability to motivate and develop operational teams.
• Excellent planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make fast, informed decisions in a busy environment.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of transport operations, fleet scheduling and freight movements.
• Understanding of CoR, HVNL and relevant transport legislation.
• Good geographical knowledge to allocate work and optimise fleet utilisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport operations to maximise efficient use of drivers, vehicles and equipment.
• Plan and allocate freight loads to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Organise fleet resources to meet customer requirements and operational demands.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with customer, operational and CoR requirements.
• Supervise, coach and support drivers while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Monitor driver compliance with relevant state and federal transport legislation.
• Prepare manifests, loading documentation and compliance paperwork.
• Investigate operational incidents and complete incident reporting as required.
• Prepare and analyse contractor run sheets and delivery performance.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance for company vehicles and equipment.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce operational reports and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
