Job summary

Specialised Pavement Services Pty Ltd in Cairns is seeking a motivated Sweeper Operator to join our busy crew. You will operate HINO trucks and MacDonald Johnson road sweepers, with an MR/HR licence preferred, and contribute to safety and quality on site.

The role offers hourly pay with overtime, a phone allowance, and flexible hours; night shifts may be required. Training is available for the right candidates, and clean health checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have MR/HR truck licence; training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Experience with vehicle checks in line with NHVR regulations is preferred.
• Candidates may be trained if required and must be fit for site work.
• Must be prepared to work night shifts when required.
• Construction Industry Card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Operate HINO trucks and MacDonald Johnson road sweepers (Dual Control Vehicles).
• Perform routine and daily checks of the vehicle in line with NHVR and company regs.
• Be self-motivated, reliable and flexible about working hours.
