Job summary

MSS Security Pty Ltd is seeking a Full Time Assistant Team Leader to join our team at a mining village site in Dysart. The role requires leading and supporting the onsite security team to ensure safe, secure operations on a 7 on 7 off roster during night shifts.

Eligible candidates will have full Australian working rights, a current QLD security licence, and a valid First Aid/CPR certificate. FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO within 600 km may apply; a medical including a Drug & Alcohol test is

Qualifications

• Full Australian working rights.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Current QLD Security Licence (class 1 - unarmed, crowd control, monitoring).
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
• Prior experience in the security industry.
• Must pass a full medical assessment including a drug and alcohol test.
• Master license: 41299.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader in mentoring and supporting Village Security Officers, including delivering site-based training and daily pre-starts.
• Coordinate security operations, resource allocation and compliance with site procedures, audits and training requirements.
• Conduct patrols, welfare checks and inspections to maintain a safe, secure and compliant village environment.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid where required, and complete accurate reports and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders while responding professionally to enquiries and site issues.
• Provide operational support to site leadership, including after-hours assistance, injury management coordination and night shift coverage as required.
