Job summary

MSS Security Pty Ltd in Weipa is seeking a Full Time FIFO Security Officer – Reliever to provide frontline security at a prestigious client site. You will perform access control, patrols, and incident response to protect people and assets.

Roster is 7 on 7 off, days and nights, with potential to stay up to 14 days in the field; candidates must hold QLD security licence with Unarmed, Crowd Control and Monitoring, First Aid/CPR, and a valid QLD driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Must have full Australian working rights.
• QLD Security licence with Unarmed, Crowd Control and Monitoring.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• QLD Driver's licence.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Willingness to work a 7 on 7 off roster, days and nights, with up to 14 days in the field.
• Master licence: 41299.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile/foot patrols of infrastructure and gates.
• Perform visitor inductions and issue access cards.
• Carry out bag and vehicle searches for prohibited items.
• Monitor CCTV to identify unauthorized access.
• Provide security support at client camp accommodation.

About the Role

MSS Security is looking for a Full Time FIFO Security Officer – Reliever to work at our prestigious client site in Weipa.

In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, access control, and issue of ID cards. The position is 7 on 7 off, days and nights, with the possibility of staying up to 14 days in the field.

Duties

• Conduct mobile/foot patrols including lockup and unlock activities of infrastructure and gates
• Conduct visitor/permit holder inductions and generate and issue access card’s
• Manage and perform bag and vehicle searches to identify prohibited, restricted unauthorised items
• Monitor CCTV visual displays to manage and identify unauthorized access
• Security support activities at client supplied camp accommodation

Skills & Experience

• Full Australian working rights
• Current QLD Security licence with Unarmed, Crowd Control and Monitoring functions
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Full QLD drivers’ licence
• Intermediate computer skills
• Availability to work a 7 on 7 off roster, days and nights, with the possibility of staying up to 14 days in the field when required
