Job summary

BallyCara is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for night-duty coverage in our residential aged care community. Join a compassionate team delivering safe, patient-centred care through the night, with a rotating fortnightly roster and a fixed-term, part-time contract from early November 2026 to mid-February 2027 on Brisbane’s Redcliffe Peninsula.

As the night RN you’ll assess, monitor and respond to changes in residents’ health, administer medications, document care, and mentor Personal Care

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Previous nursing experience in residential aged care.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Confidence working overnight and responding calmly to changing clinical situations.
• Excellent communication, documentation and teamwork skills.
• A genuine commitment to resident dignity, choice and positive ageing.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to residents in the aged care community.
• Use clinical judgment to assess, monitor and respond to health changes.
• Support residents living with dementia, complex care needs and those receiving palliative care.
• Provide clinical guidance and reassurance to Personal Care Workers during shifts.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure individualized, person-centered care and a calm overnight environment.
