Job summary

Webuild is delivering the New Women and Babies Hospital project in Perth, Western Australia. We are seeking a Project Engineer to join the night-shift team, coordinating major work packages and ensuring safety and efficiency.

Based on a permanent night shift roster, you will lead technical risk management, design coordination and site programs, while liaising with clients and stakeholders to deliver on project requirements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• High level knowledge of commercial building across construction stages (structure, façade, fit-out).
• 3–5+ years of construction experience in major projects ($100M+) is essential, health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical risk and develop innovative initiatives for the project.
• Lead design coordination, commercial management, planning and delivery phases.
• Support the Project Manager with stakeholder management and contractual requirements.
• Represent the Project Manager in meetings with Client and stakeholders.
• Assess innovative design options and value-for-money initiatives.
• Prepare construction plans, programs and site budgets/reports.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure productivity of direct hire and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress against program and budget and report variances.
• Provide engineering leadership during permanent night shift to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
