Job summary

Tassal in Dover, Tasmania, is seeking a reliable Casual Processing Attendant to join the Offload team. The role is night shift (6pm start) at our Dover processing site, with 6–8 hour shifts depending on daily volume.

It involves hands-on, wet environment work and physical tasks alongside a close-knit team. Responsibilities include offloading fish, operating a forklift, cleaning the area, preparing production bins, and supporting quality checks.

Qualifications

• Essential: a valid forklift ticket and proven experience.
• Experience in a wet, industrial, or fast-paced environment.
• Experience working night shifts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong reliability, punctuality and proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the offloading of fish from harvest transport.
• Safely operating a forklift to move materials and equipment.
• Cleaning the offload area and equipment as required.
• Preparing bins and liners for production.
• Assisting with quality and label checks.
• Manual tasks including shovelling ice, lifting bin lids, and pushing bins.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and hygiene at all times.
