Metal Roofing & Building Supplies in Smeaton Grange NSW is seeking an evening shift forklift operator to pack and load trucks for dawn departures. Hours are 9pm to 5:30am, Sunday to Thursday, with overtime as needed.

This is a Evening SHIFT position, standard hours will be from 9pm to 5.30am Sunday to Thursday. Overtime will be available outside of these hours.

We are currently looking for a candidate to work on a evening shift to pack and load trucks so that they are ready to leave on time the next morning. The position requires someone with good confidence on a forklift that is able to be detail orientated and load trucks in a safe manor.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to work independently and follow instructions as well as be held accountable.

Over time is a part of this position and all overtime is paid at applicable rates

Ensure sufficient packing materials are used where required.

Pack product into correct packaging and ensure it's safe for transport.

Apply correct labels to product as required.

Monitor product quality and alert Transport Manager if any problems occur.

Carry out any other duties as instructed by the Transport Managerrelated to this position

Keep work areas clear of any rubbish.

Ensure all Company OH&S and Human Resources Policies and Procedures are adhered to at all times.

Wear the correct and appropriate safety equipment whilst carrying out duties at all times in the boundaries as stipulated by boundary signs through the factory.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a current forklift License with experience in safely loading and restraining trucks

Looking for someone who wants a long term position not a stepping stone

Must have a working mode of transport to get to work on time daily.

Must have a good attitude towards work and be available to work a reasonable amount of Overtime including Saturdays when required.

Truck Licence or experience would be a great bonus as you will need to move trucks around the Yard.
