Job summary

BlueCare Sunrise Beach is seeking a Care Companion (Personal Carer) to support residents in our Sunrise Beach aged care home. The role is permanent part-time night duty, with six night shifts per week from 10pm to 6am, aligned with the household model of care to promote independence and wellbeing.

You will assist with daily living, hygiene, meals, mobility and activities, following individual care plans, while advocating for residents and encouraging engagement in social and recreational

Qualifications

• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
• NDIS Workers Screening or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at mealtimes, general mobility and laundry
• Providing care in accordance with the individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Advocating for residents while providing them with choice and encouraging engagement
