Job summary

Accor Apartments & Realty is seeking a Night Public Area Attendant to uphold impeccable cleanliness across the property and be a calm, independent presence for guests during late hours. You will handle cleaning duties, assist with guest inquiries, and support maintenance teams while ensuring privacy and safety.

The role requires a flexible, physically capable candidate who can work 11pm–7am and contribute to a smooth overnight operation in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a cleaner/room attendant/public areas attendant role is a plus.
• Strong communication style that is warm and welcoming.
• Eye for detail with ability to work efficiently and manage time.
• Adaptability and physical fitness to work in indoor and outdoor areas, including stairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness and presentation in indoor and outdoor public areas.
• Handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety.
• Assist in prepping guest rooms for next day operations.
• Provide guest assistance and respond to minor issues while protecting privacy.
• Report maintenance issues or missing items to the appropriate teams.
• Work night shifts from 11pm to 7am.

Purpose

As the Night Public Area Attendant, you are a vital part of our night owl team, committed to upholding impeccable cleanliness throughout the property. You will feel comfortable working independently, carrying the on-call phone, and being readily available - a welcoming presence for guests seeking assistance with late-night questions or minor maintenance issues.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure the property always looks its best, with a keen focus on both indoor and outdoor public areas to meet our high cleanliness and presentation standards
• Expertly handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety in mind
• Happily assisting in preparing guest rooms ready for the next day's operation
• Offering guest assistance as needed, this may involve tasks such as key security, and responding to minor issues all whilst ensuring privacy and confidentiality
• Be the eyes and ears for our maintenance and guest services teams, reporting any issues promptly, from maintenance problems, to damaged equipment and missing items
• Embrace the distinctive night shifts at our hotel, spanning from 11pm to 7am

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role (as a cleaner/room attendant/public areas attendant) is a plus
• Your communication style is warm and welcoming, making both guests and team members feel at ease
• You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks
• Adaptability and physical fitness to work in both internal and external environments, including staircases and uncovered areas
• You will be an independent worker who can take initiative and excel without constant supervision
• Reliable transportation and availability to work a flexible rotating schedule including weekends and public holidays as required
