Job summary

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street is seeking a Night Front Office Leader to mentor the Night Team, oversee shift operations and ensure seamless guest check-in/out during overnight hours.

You will handle VIP movements, resolve guest issues, coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping after hours, and perform night audit duties while maintaining professional service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of leadership front office experience in a hotel of similar size.
• Fluent in English, able to communicate professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and training skills.
• Proven ability to resolve problems and work under pressure.
• Well-presented, organized, and composed.
• Proficient IT skills, including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Night team and uphold brand standards during overnight hours.
• Promptly handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints.
• Manage overnight issues and emergencies, documenting resolutions.
• Address maintenance and housekeeping concerns after business hours.
• Conduct quality checks on Reservations and manage night inventory.
• Perform night audit activities: reconciliations, balancing and reporting.
• Keep the Night team informed about VIP guests and events.

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street combines old world charm with modern luxuries! This newly opened hotel is located in the heart of the CBD, and features 244 stylish guest rooms, including 10 spacious suites, a restaurant and bar, fully equipped gym and five meeting & event spaces.

About the role

Leading the way with your passion for hospitality and customer service you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching the team of Front Office Night Team. You will also manage the shift, ensuring check-in, check-out and related services are provided to guests with exceptional service. Reporting to the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Your daily duties will include:

Lead the Night team, ensuring that brand standards are upheld and guest expectations are consistently exceeded during overnight hours.

Promptly handle guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring they are addressed to the highest standard.

Manage any over night management issues or emergencies, documenting and resolving them as needed.

Address Maintenance and Housekeeping concerns that arise after business hours, ensuring swift resolution.

Conduct quality checks on Reservations and manage inventory during the night shift.

Perform night audit duties, including reconciliations, balancing, and verifying the accuracy of daily financial transactions and reports.

Ensure the Night team maintains a professional demeanor and is informed of VIP guest movements, hotel events, and local attractions.

What are we looking for?

A minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership front office role in a similar sized hotel

Fluent in the English and able to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone

Excellent leadership, inter-personal, training and development skills

Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure

Well-presented, organised and calm personality

High level of IT skills, including Excel and Word
