Job summary

The Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner, a division within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport, is seeking a Policy & Project Officer to support the development and delivery of initiatives that strengthen NSW's nighttime economy.

You'll bring together policy, research, stakeholder engagement and project management to help create thriving and well-coordinated nighttime precincts, working with hospitality, retail, councils and cultural organisations to

Qualifications

• Experience in policy development, including preparing materials for Cabinet and Parliament.
• Strong research, analytical and written communication skills.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
• The ability to translate complex information into clear, practical advice.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyse policy issues, options and data to support evidence-based decision making.
• Develop clear policy advice, briefs, discussion papers and submissions for a range of audiences.
• Support policy development and implementation from research through to delivery and evaluation.
• Build strong relationships with businesses, councils, cultural organisations and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate working groups, committees and stakeholder consultations.
• Monitor emerging and contentious issues and provide advice on their potential impacts.
• Support reporting, monitoring and evaluation to measure policy outcomes and inform future initiatives.
