Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland invites applications for a Part-time Personal Care Worker to join the Duhig Village team in Holland Park. You will assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, under the direction of registered and enrolled nurses, delivering compassionate, respectful support.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Medication Assist Competency (desirable)
• Understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities
• Dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
• Work well within a team with a friendly approachable manner
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
• Available to work night shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care including daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)
• Respond to each resident's needs and preferences with compassionate, respectful care
• Collaborate with Registered and Enrolled Nurses to support residents' dignity and independence
• Create a safe, supportive environment where residents can thrive
