Job summary

Ovolo Nishi in Canberra is seeking a Night Auditor/Guest Service Agent to ensure warm, memorable experiences while keeping hotel operations running smoothly overnight. You’ll handle nightly audit-focused tasks, reconciliation and reporting, guest check-ins/outs, and respond to inquiries.

The role includes daytime shift coverage when required under the HIGA Award. We value a bubbly, service‑driven personality with at least 3 years in a similar role and front office experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role or guest service position.
• Strong passion for customer service and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Previous front office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete nightly audit, reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Process guest check-ins, check-outs and reservations.
• Deliver friendly and professional overnight guest service.
• Respond to guest enquiries, requests and complaints.
• Monitor hotel operations, security and safety overnight.
• Maintain accurate guest records and room status in the PMS.
• Prepare daily reports and shift handover notes.
• Support overnight hotel operations and assist other departments as required.
• Complete basic cleaning, tidying and presentation duties in hotel public areas overnight.

The Gig

We are on the lookout for our next Wonder Maker, aka Night Auditor/Guest Service Agent (GSA), to join our fun and exciting team! As our Night Auditor/GSA, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests receive a warm and memorable experience, while keeping our hotel operations running smoothly overnight. You’ll be a key point of contact for our guests and an important representative of our hotel and brand.

We are looking for a Full-time Night Auditor/GSA, employed under the HIGA Award, with flexibility across your availability. The role will primarily focus on overnight Night Audit operations, including financial reconciliation and reporting, while also providing Guest Service coverage across daytime shifts when required.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Complete nightly audit, reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Process guest check-ins, check-outs and reservations.
• Deliver friendly and professional overnight guest service.
• Respond to guest enquiries, requests and complaints.
• Monitor hotel operations, security and safety overnight.
• Maintain accurate guest records and room status in the PMS.
• Prepare daily reports and shift handover notes.
• Support overnight hotel operations and assist other departments as required.
• Complete basic cleaning, tidying and presentation duties in hotel public areas overnight, ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Identify and report any public-area cleaning or maintenance concerns requiring further attention.
