Job summary

Novotel Sydney International Airport is seeking a proactive nights operations host to ensure smooth overnight hotel functioning. You will welcome guests arriving late, farewell early departures, reconcile daily trading, and generate reports while maintaining high safety standards.

You should be able to handle reservations accurately, work autonomously, and communicate effectively with other departments. RSA certification and Opera Cloud knowledge are advantageous for this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and the ability to work autonomously.
• Hands-on team player with a can-do attitude and initiative.
• Understanding of finance and accounting practices.
• RSA certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and security.
• Reconcile the hotel's trading, prepare reports and audits.
• Manage and confirm reservations and in-house guest details accurately.
• Produce and distribute reports to relevant departments.
• Support evening shifts from 11pm to 7am.

Job Description

• Welcoming our late arrival guests and farewellto our early departures.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel’s overnight operation, maintaining guest satisfaction and the safety and security of the property.
• Taking initiative to ensure positive and productive interactions with our customers.
• Undertake the daily reconciliation of the Hotel’s trading, including checking and preparing reports, completing audits, and collating the necessary paperwork for departures.
• Prepare and distribute relevant reports to relevant departments.
• Managing and confirming reservation details and accounts for in-house guest details ensuring all details are recorded accurately.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy.
• Ability to work evening shifts 11pm to 7am.

• Willingness to take ownership and have the initiative to carry out different tasks as required.
• A good understanding of finance and accounting practices.
• The ability to coordinate multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
• Knowledge of Opera Cloud is a bonus.
