Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced Sales Representative – New & Used Equipment for our Building Construction Industries sales team. You will support customers from Northern Brisbane through to Bundaberg, based in Northern SEQ with a permanent full-time contract.

You will own your territory, develop strategic plans with the Sales and Product Manager, and drive growth while delivering outstanding service. Regular travel is required; vehicle, laptop and phone are provided.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a Sales Representative role, ideally within the heavy machinery industry.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with track record of nurturing customer relationships and identifying opportunities.
• Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets, deal profitability and market share, along with a passion for sales.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong, long-term relationships with existing clients by delivering outstanding service and uncovering opportunities for cross‑selling and upselling.
• Take full ownership of your assigned territory, driving customer engagement, sales performance, and market share growth.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Product Manager to develop and execute strategic territory and key account plans.
• Proactively identify new business prospects, schedule meetings, conduct effective sales calls, and manage the sales cycle through to close.
• Support customer deliveries and handovers, including machine walkarounds, technology demonstrations and post‑delivery follow‑up.
• Ensure timely and accurate quoting, maintain up‑to‑date CRM records, and effectively manage all customer touchpoints.
• Regular travel is required in this role, so flexibility is essential.
