Job summary

Yarra Plenty Regional Library Service is seeking a Library Team Leader Operations at Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub. You will oversee daily operations, guide and inspire the team, and deliver exceptional library services that connect and engage our community.

Build strong relationships with member councils and collaborate across YPRL to keep services consistent and innovative. The ideal candidate is a qualified library professional with ALIA-recognised credentials, a strong customer service

Qualifications

• A qualified library professional with tertiary Librarianship qualifications recognised by ALIA or equivalent.
• Strong customer service ethos and experience leading teams in libraries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily library operations and ensure service quality across the branch.
• Lead, inspire and train library staff to deliver exceptional experiences.
• Maintain building operations and safety, including IT facilities and collections.

Lead the Way at Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub! We’re on the lookout for a passionate Library Team Leader Operations to join our vibrant Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub team. In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations, guide and inspire the team, and deliver exceptional library services that connect and engage our community. You’ll also build strong relationships with our member councils and collaborate across YPRL to keep services consistent, innovative, and community focused. The Ideal Candidate

A qualified and/or experienced library professional, holding tertiary qualifications in Librarianship

recognized by ALIA or another relevant tertiary qualification. High customer service, passionate

about delivering high-quality, community-focused library services in a branch setting.

A confident, people-focused leader who motivates teams, communicates clearly, and connects

efficently with diverse audiences.

Across evolving library trends, you deliver responsive reader services and create vibrant, relevant

collections.

A natural collaborator with a flair for connection—driving results through innovation, influence, and

community engagement.
