Job summary

Loveday Electrical Pty Ltd in Brisbane, QLD, is seeking a New Home Electrician to perform electrical work to high standards on new home builds, units and townhouses. The role is permanent, full-time and based at the South Brisbane/Tingalpa site, with a 9-day fortnight and overtime available.

You will contribute to pre-wiring, underground and overhead connections, commissioning and testing, and collaborate with site management, clients and trades.

Qualifications

• Current QLD Electrical Licence and domestic project experience required.
• Must hold a valid Queensland manual driver’s licence.
• 5 years domestic electrical experience (including apprenticeships).
• Construction Industry White/Blue Card required.
• Current CPR/LVR certification is essential.
• Mechanical mindset with good problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Underground and overhead power connections to new homes/units/townhouses.
• Pre-wire of new homes/units/townhouses.
• Electrical fit-off, commissioning and testing for new homes/units/townhouses.
• Communicate with site management, clients, tradespersons and apprentices.
• Ensure deadlines are met and quality workmanship maintained.

The Opportunity

As a New Home Electrician your main responsibilities will be carrying out electrical work to a high standard, while guaranteeing builder/client satisfaction with your friendly and professional service.

This opportunity will see you based out of our South Brisbane Office in Tingalpa. This position is permanent and full time.

Underground and overhead power connections to new homes/units/townhouses

Electrical pre-wire of new homes/units/townhouses

Electrical fit-off, commissioning and testing (including fault finding) of new homes/units/townhouses

Concisely communicating with a range of people including site management, company clients, tradespersons, sub-contractors and apprentices

Ensuring deadlines are being met and quality workmanship is maintained

What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will demonstrate experience in domestic projects, along with the following:

Current QLD Electrical Licence

Current Queensland Manual Driver’s License
