Job summary

Loveday Electrical Pty Ltd is seeking a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice to join our Sunshine Coast team. You will assist tradespeople with residential electrical maintenance and installations, delivering friendly and professional service in homes and on construction sites.

Based at our Forest Glen office, this permanent, full-time role offers a supportive team culture, a 9-day fortnight with overtime, and pathways for growth within a long-established family business.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate an excellent attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Age 17 or older at start; successful completion of Year 12 or Cert II in Electrotechnology.
• Not a school-based apprenticeship; induction and ongoing training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with residential electrical maintenance and installations in homes and construction sites.
• Support delivery of quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Work as part of a small, collaborative team from Loveday Electrical.

Apprentice Electricians - Sunshine Coast

In operation for more than 40 years, this successful medium sized business offers a positive and flexible work culture,where you will work a 9 day fortnight with overtime available. Work alongside a tight knit crew who are passionate about working together to ensure the successful delivery of new projects.

The Opportunity

As an Apprentice Electrician your main responsibilities will be working alongside tradespeople carrying out residential electrical maintenance and installations in client's homes and on construction sites, while guaranteeing builder/client satisfaction with your friendly and professional service.

This opportunity will see you based out of our Sunshine Coast Office in Forest Glen. This position is permanent and full time.

What are we looking for?

1st Year Electrical Apprentice, seeking to start a full time Apprenticeship:

Ideal candidates will demonstrate an excellent attitude with an eagerness to learn, along with the following:

QLD Manual Driver’s License or expected to have by 30 November 2026.

Keen to work hard as part of a team where you will be rewarded with respect, appreciation and a great team culture.

Age requirement is 17 or older when you start.

You need to have completed Year 12 and passed Maths and English subjects OR have completed a Cert II in ElectrotechnologyOR have relevant work experience.

Please Note: This role is not for school-based apprenticeship.
