Job summary

The Mater at North Sydney, part of St Vincent’s Health Australia, is hiring a New Graduate Registered Midwife for a permanent full-time role. You will provide woman-centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal stages within a supportive maternity team.

You'll work on a 24/7 rotating roster and be supported to develop clinical skills and professional growth in a renowned private hospital setting. Eligible for Ahpra registration required.

About The Role

As a New Graduate Midwife, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and confidence while providing safe, respectful and woman-centred care throughout the maternity journey.

You will be supported to develop your skills across areas including:

  • Antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
  • Supporting women during labour and birth
  • Maternal and newborn assessment and ongoing care
  • Recognition and escalation of clinical concerns
  • Supporting breastfeeding and early parenting
  • Documentation and clinical handover
  • Working collaboratively with obstetric, neonatal and multidisciplinary teams
  • Promoting respectful, culturally safe and individualised maternity care

  • Eligible for registration as a Registered Midwife with Ahpra
