Job summary

Newcastle Exercise Physiology is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to deliver evidence-based, neurological and complex-condition exercise programs. The role includes Parkinson's programs and osteoporosis bone-strength sessions, plus managing workers' compensation cases and performing home visits.

You will liaise with GPs, specialists and insurers, write reports, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team across Newcastle West and the Central Coast.

Qualifications

• ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist
• Professional indemnity insurance
• First Aid and CPR, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current driver's licence and own vehicle for home visits
• Confident, motivated and a strong communicator
• Compassionate and committed to client outcomes
• Open to feedback and keen to learn
• Well organised
• Neurological rehabilitation and NDIS experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group exercise sessions for clients with neurological and complex conditions
• Run Parkinson's-specific programs, including PD Warrior classes
• Deliver bone-strength programs for clients with osteoporosis
• Manage workers' compensation clients, including assessments, goal setting and return-to-work reporting
• Conduct home and community visits where required
• Write reports and liaise with GPs, specialists, insurers and other referrers
