Telstra in Canberra is seeking an NV1-cleared Network Engineer to provide 24x7 network operations support for Defence customers. The role is based onsite in Canberra and requires you to work a rotating roster on all shifts.
Ideally you bring 1–2 years in Network Operations, hands-on routing and switching knowledge, and familiarity with Juniper, Cisco and other vendors. Active NV1 clearance is essential. This is a permanent Defence role with growth within Telstra's Defence network team.

What is the focus of the role?
This role will provide specialised 24x7 technical network expertise and support for Telstra's networks and infrastructure, supporting the Department of Defence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an NV1 cleared Network Engineer, with some existing experience, or those eager to launch their career in Network Operations at Telstra. You'll gain and expand your hands‑on experience supporting Telstra's Defence customers and networks, learning from real‑world challenges and working with experienced professionals.
This permanent Defence role is based onsite in Canberra. You'll work on a rotating 24x7 shift roster and you are required to work all shifts onsite.
Active NV1 clearance is essential, and bonus points for NV2 clearance.
Candidates must hold a current Defence clearance to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain an minimum Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance.
