Talent in Melbourne is seeking a software engineer to design and build software, tools, and automation for large-scale network infrastructure. You’ll work with network engineers and software developers to solve complex technical challenges and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficient in at least one modern language such as Python, Go or Java (or C++, C#, Rust).
• Solid understanding of systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, operating systems and storage.
• Experience designing scalable, reliable systems and software solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on experience with networking technologies including routers, switches, load balancers and related infrastructure highly regarded.

You’ll investigate complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, develop long-term solutions, and build automation that reduces manual effort while improving reliability and operational excellence.
