Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a Brisbane CBD-based, hybrid contract of 12 months with potential extension. The role requires extensive network and security engineering experience, including hands-on work with major vendors.

Responsibilities include delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, producing technical documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders across multiple initiatives. The position offers contractor benefits and flexible pay arrangements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Network/Security/Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong enterprise networking and security expertise (Routing, Switching, WAN/LAN, Firewalls, VPNs, WAF, DNS).
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects and producing technical documentation.
• Proficiency in automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
• Hands-on with Cisco, Palo Alto, Infoblox, Zscaler, Cisco ISE, ThousandEyes.
• Strong troubleshooting, risk management and multi-project delivery skills.

Required skills and competencies:

• 5+ years' Network/Security/Infrastructure Engineering experience.
