FinXL IT Professional Services in Sydney CBD is seeking a Network Engineer with strong Cisco ACI experience. The role involves designing, deploying and automating ASA/ACI policies, and supporting remote work from home arrangements across Australia.

You will mentor junior automation engineers and ensure SLA metrics are maintained through telemetry monitoring. Ideal candidates hold CCNP/CCIE or equivalent and have hands-on expertise with APIC, CSM and REST/API models for enterprise firewall policy

Qualifications

• Experience defining policy models and automating deployments for Cisco ASA and Cisco ACI via APIC.
• Experience designing device translation rules for ASA/CSM and ACI/APIC.
• Experience sign-off on candidate rules and canary deployments.
• Experience producing runbooks, rollback procedures and change control artefacts for automated pushes.
• Experience mentoring automation engineers on APIC payloads and CSM design.
• Experience monitoring telemetry and authorising reverts when SLA thresholds exceed limits.
• Experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC REST/API models; CSM experience.
• Experience in enterprise firewall policy rollouts and capacity planning.
• CCNP/CCIE or equivalent networking certification.

Responsabilités

• Define policy models and map NetFlow intent to device constructs.
• Lead automated deployment strategies for Cisco ASA via CSM and ACI via APIC; manage canary rollouts.
• Design canonical role/subnet/service object models and device translation rules for ASA/CSM and ACI/APIC.
• Produce runbooks and emergency rollback procedures for changes.
• Mentor automation engineers on APIC payloads and CSM job design.
• Monitor post-deploy telemetry and authorise reverts when SLA thresholds are exceeded.
• Work on enterprise firewall policy rollouts and troubleshoot capacity planning issues.

Skills and Experience

• Experience defining policy models, mapping NetFlow intent to device constructs and owning automated deployment strategies for Cisco ASA via CSM and Cisco ACI via APIC; lead canary rollouts and rollback playbooks.
• Experience designing canonical role/subnet/service object models and device translation rules for ASA/CSM and ACI/APIC.
• Experience validating and signing off candidate rules; lead passive and canary deployments.
• Experience producing runbooks, emergency rollback procedures and change control artefacts for automated pushes.
• Experience mentoring automation engineers on APIC payloads and CSM job design.
• Experience monitoring post‑deploy telemetry & authorising reverts when SLA thresholds exceed limits
• Experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC REST/API models; practical CSM experience.
• Experience in the design and execution of enterprise firewall policy rollouts.
• Experience in troubleshooting and capacity planning skills.
• CCNP/CCIE or equivalent; experience with network automation frameworks.
