Job summary

Pansoft Technologies is seeking a Network & Systems Engineer to design, implement and support enterprise network and cloud infrastructure. The role spans LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, AWS networking, firewalls, VPNs and security in client and internal environments.

You will work with DevOps and IT teams, producing technical designs, diagrams and configuration documentation while ensuring security and performance across hybrid networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year experience in network engineering, systems engineering, network infrastructure or infrastructure design.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience preparing technical designs, network diagrams and infrastructure documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse network and systems requirements and develop practical infrastructure solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Plan, design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN and SD-WAN environments.
• Analyse existing network infrastructure, topology, connectivity and performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Design network topologies, connectivity solutions and infrastructure layouts for client and internal environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, VLANs and network services.
• Support the deployment, configuration and ongoing management of AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud networking.
• Assist with AWS VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, VPNs and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Prepare and maintain network diagrams, infrastructure layouts, technical designs, specifications and configuration documentation.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, project documentation and infrastructure diagrams.
• Work with clients, vendors, project teams and internal technical staff to understand requirements and deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for network, systems, cloud and infrastructure-related issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, reliability, scalability, security and operational efficiency.

As our infrastructure and technology services continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Network & Systems Engineer to join our technical team.

About the Role

The Network & Systems Engineer will be responsible for analysing, designing, implementing, supporting and optimising network and systems infrastructure across Pansoft and its client environments.

The role is suited to an engineer with a strong background in network planning, network analysis, infrastructure design and technical documentation, with the opportunity to work across enterprise networking, SD-WAN, AWS cloud, systems infrastructure, cybersecurity and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse network and systems requirements and develop practical infrastructure solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Plan, design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN and SD-WAN environments.
• Analyse existing network infrastructure, topology, connectivity and performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Design network topologies, connectivity solutions and infrastructure layouts for client and internal environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, VLANs and network services.
• Support the implementation and management of SD-WAN and secure network connectivity solutions.
• Support the deployment, configuration and ongoing management of AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud networking.
• Assist with AWS VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, VPNs and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Assess infrastructure requirements and contribute to network and systems implementation planning.
• Prepare and maintain network diagrams, infrastructure layouts, technical designs, specifications and configuration documentation.
• Conduct technical design reviews and quality checks to ensure infrastructure solutions meet required standards.
• Monitor network and systems performance, availability, capacity and operational readiness.
• Troubleshoot network, systems and connectivity issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support Windows and Linux server infrastructure and virtualisation environments.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, deployments and technology refresh projects.
• Support the implementation of network security controls including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and network segmentation.
• Assist with cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening.
• Work with DevOps teams to support cloud deployment and infrastructure automation.
• Assist with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, project documentation and infrastructure diagrams.
• Work with clients, vendors, project teams and internal technical staff to understand requirements and deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for network, systems, cloud and infrastructure-related issues.
