Job summary

Atturra is seeking a talented Network Engineer to support secure, multi‑site Wi‑Fi networks using Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet technologies, based in Canberra.

You will handle day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, upgrades and documentation, ensuring reliability for high‑value clients while maintaining security posture in line with ISM. An NV1 security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering focusing on Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet solutions.
• Experience in Cisco ISE, Cisco switches/router and Wifi.
• Experience in Palo firewalls.
• Experience with Palo Prisma (preferred).
• Experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer (preferred).
• Experience with IPSEC VPN technologies.
• Experience with Monitoring and SNMP (PRTG preferred).
• Experience with ISM and Essential 8.
• Exposure to Open Gear OOB, Beyond Trust, AWS, Tenable desirable.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of client multi‑site secure Wi‑Fi networks, prioritizing security, performance and reliability.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot problems, and address incidents promptly.
• Assist with upgrades and new site builds and deployments.
• Enhance the security posture of the environment to align with the ISM.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes and knowledge base articles.

What you’ll be doing

We are seeking a talented Network Engineer who excels in a dynamic environment, has a can-do attitude and provides outstanding customer support. You will be assisting the team supporting a secure and robust Wi‑Fi network environment using Cisco technologies, Palo firewalls, and other tools. You will assist with day to day support, patching and updates to ensure optimal performance and reliability for our high value clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of our Client multi-site Secure Wi‑Fi networks, prioritizing security, performance and reliability.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot problems, and address incidents promptly.
• Assist with upgrades and new site build and deployments.
• Enhance the security posture of the environment to align with the ISM.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes and knowledge base articles.

Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory

What will make you successful in this role?
