Job summary

IT Alliance Australia is seeking a Network Architect for a long-term contract to design and implement enterprise network and security architectures for a federal government client in Canberra. The role involves leading complex network solutions across routing, switching, security, WAN and cloud environments.

Applicants must demonstrate work within ISM/PSPF/Essential Eight security frameworks, provide technical leadership, and engage stakeholders to produce high-quality architecture artefacts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise network architectures and translating them into implemented outcomes within large and complex ICT environments.
• Demonstrated high-level expertise designing and implementing enterprise network security architectures, including significant experience with Fortinet technologies and services, within a complex multi-vendor environment
• Demonstrated experience leading the design and implementation of complex network solutions across routing, switching, security, load balancing, WAN and cloud-connected environments.
• Demonstrated experience applying Commonwealth security frameworks, including the ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight, to network architecture, design and implementation activities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, architecture governance and design assurance across multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining alignment with operational requirements.
• Demonstrated highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders and produce high-quality architecture and design artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise network architectures and translate them into implemented outcomes within large ICT environments.
• Design and implement enterprise network security architectures, with Fortinet technologies in multi-vendor settings.
• Lead design and deployment of complex network solutions across routing, switching, security, load balancing, WAN and cloud connections.
• Apply Commonwealth security frameworks (ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight) to architecture activities.
• Provide technical leadership, governance and design assurance across concurrent initiatives.
• Communicate with stakeholders and produce architecture artefacts.

03 Years (12 months initially + 24 months extension)

Canberra (03 Days office/02 Days home per week)

Eligibility

Australian Citizen with Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
