Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of recovery‑oriented practice and psychosocial disability.
• Lived experience of mental health challenges, or significant experience supporting people with psychosocial disability.
• Certificate IV in Mental Health, Mental Health Peer Work, or a related community services qualification.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Knowledge of NDIS funding, plan types, and participant rights.
• Strong written communication skills for progress notes and NDIS reporting.
• Reliable vehicle and current driver’s licence.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Meet participants to review how their current supports are working.
• Help prepare for plan reviews and support participants in making contact with services they have been reluctant to approach.
• Work through crisis plans with participants as needed.
• Write progress notes and contribute to NDIS reporting.
• Maintain consistent attendance, listen without judgment, and focus on the participant’s own goals.
