Job summary

Carers Queensland Inc. on the Gold Coast is seeking a Local Area Coordinator to bridge participants, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), and the local community.

This front-line role supports the LAC PITC program, focusing on building the capacity of people with disabilities, families and carers from a base at our Gold Coast site. The role is full-time until 30 June 2027 with the option for up to two work-from-home days per week after probation, subject to operational need.

• Experience engaging diverse stakeholders including government and community sectors.
• Commitment to building capacity for people with disabilities and carers.

Responsibilities

• Implement processes and plans using a person-centred approach.
• Deliver program-wide strategy to engage people with disability, government, business and community sectors.
• Assist with community capacity building projects to meet community needs with strategic long-term vision.
• Develop strategic, collegial and productive relationships within and external to Carers Queensland to ensure the best outcomes for clients, the program and the organisation.
• A full-time role (until 30 June 2027) with work from home days available (up to 2 days per week once past probation depending on operational need) at our Gold Coast site.
