Job summary

Axis Supports is seeking finance professionals to join a collaborative team in Canberra, ACT. Two levels available: Accounts Assistant and Assistant Accounts Manager, with mentoring from the CFO and growth opportunities through our RTO training programs.

You will handle the revenue cycle, payroll, month-end, and billing operations to ensure accurate payments to support workers and compliant funding for participants.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts, bookkeeping or finance administration within the NDIS sector.
• Understanding of the SCHADS Award.
• Familiarity with PRODA and payroll/month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive the revenue cycle: prepare, submit and reconcile bulk payment requests and invoice plan managers.
• Resolve rejected claims by identifying root causes and fixing processes with the team.
• Monitor participant funds with Scheduling to flag risks before funding runs out.
• Support fortnightly payroll ensuring correct allowances, shifts and overtime.
• Maintain accurate AP/AR, bank reconciliations and reporting of billable hours.
• For Manager level: own the claiming cycle end-to-end, lead billing staff, run month-end timetable and support auditors.
