Job summary

KVAC Industries PTY LTD is expanding to cover the next stage of the Australian NBN N2P rollout, including rodding, roping, scoping, vac truck work, and new fibre lead ins. Candidates should have strong safety aptitude, be fit and reliable, and prepared to work away from home for extended periods across NSW.

Experience on Telstra/NBN networks is preferred; a car/driver’s licence is required, and accommodations are provided when away.

Qualifications

• Experience on Telstra/NBN Telecommunications network preferred, not essential.
• First Aid & CPR valid within 12 months or willing to attain.
• Police Check within last 6 months or willing to attain.
• NBN Enable Card advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work away from home for periods, mostly Central/West NSW, 12–14 days on, 4–7 days off.
• Rodding, roping & scoping Telstra network, minor underground repair/dig downs.
• Live updating and data entry on work tablets (Apple iPhone).
• Assisting with vacuum truck, conduit jetting, pit clean outs, minor civils.
• Prioritise site safety practices & procedures.
• Read and understand network plans.

KVAC Industries PTY LTD is a delivery contractor working on the NBN Project. We are looking to expand and diversify into all aspects of the next stage of the Australian NBN N2P rollout including rodding, roping, scoping, vac truck work, asset locating, validations, conduit blockage jetting and new fibre lead ins to end users.

Qualifications & experience

Experience working on the Telstra/NBN Telecommunications network preferred, however not essential.

Must have drivers licence.

Must hold a valid car licence (C class).

NBN Enable Card (Advantageous)

First Aid & CPR within 12 months validity. (Or willing to attain)

Clear Police Check within the last 6 months. (Or willing to attain)

Vac truck/trailer NDD and Jetting experience (Advantageous)

ABN PREFERRED $50/h FLAT RATE for Ongoing Contract - Employees considered at a lower rate full time.

Strong Safety Aptitude with willingness to implement

Tasks & responsibilities

Able to work away from home for periods of time if required. Mostly Central/West N.S.W, working 12-14 days on, 4-7 days off.

Rodding, Roping & Scoping Telstra telecommunications network, minor underground conduit blockage repair/dig downs.

Live updating and data entry on work tablets (Must have Apple Iphone)

Assisting with vacuum truck, conduit jetting, pit clean outs, minor civils.

Prioritising site specific safety practices & procedures

Literacy skills & the ability to read and understand network plans

Civil work, trenching, pit replacements and conduit repairs/installations.

Must be STRONG/FIT, RELIABLE, WILLING TO LEARN, HARD WORKING with a "CAN DO work attitude for a fast paced role working as an offsider to the company owner/operator.

High fitness level required to perform demanding physical tasks and manual labour.

Working within a vibrant team of contractors on the Australian N2P NBN rollout.

Highly competitive pay rates. Further increase if placed and proven as team leader.

All tools, equipment and travel vehicle/flights provided if remote.

Ongoing ESSENTIAL work and LOTS of it.

Most work swings are 2 WEEKS ON 4-7 Days OFF but can vary.
