Job summary

CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor to join the Navy Defence team in Richmond, NSW. Deliver instructor-led, blended, and simulator-based training for Defence personnel, with hands-on coaching across classroom and field environments.

Prior Navy experience is highly regarded; candidates from broader Defence and trade backgrounds are encouraged to apply. You will develop training materials, assess learners, and liaise with Defence customers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in electrical, electronics, or related technical discipline.
• Previous Navy experience highly regarded, ideally within the Royal Australian Navy.
• Defence, military, or technical training experience preferred.
• Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or willingness to obtain.
• Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and therefore be an Australian Citizen

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, blended, and simulator-based training programs for Defence personnel
• Prepare, facilitate, assess, and complete post-course administration activities
• Support trainee development by monitoring progress and providing feedback
• Use your technical expertise to maintain and improve training materials and course content.
• Work closely with Defence customers to ensure high-quality training outcomes.
