Job summary

Defence Australia is seeking a Combat System Analysis Engineer within the Royal Australian Navy’s Maritime Warfare Centre (MWC). The role focuses on modelling and simulating ship weapon systems to support exercise planning and analysis, and assessing fleet combat performance during exercises.

You will engage with a broad set of stakeholders and contribute to data-driven decisions while receiving development in naval systems, analysis tools, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering from an Australian institution or equivalent recognised by Washington Accord.
• Strong interest or experience in modelling & simulation and weapon system analysis.
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders across Defence, industry and Navy.

Responsibilities

• Perform modelling and simulation of ship weapon systems to support exercise planning and analysis.
• Assess performance of fleet combat and weapon systems during exercises.
• Manage corporate knowledge of specialised warfare systems.
• Engage with stakeholders including international organisations, Defence industry, Navy personnel and other Defence units.
