Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Account Executive for National Security within AWS Global Sales to drive cloud adoption and revenue growth for national security customers. The role requires 7+ years in tech sales, AWS/cloud experience, and eligibility for Australian security clearance; MBAs or advanced degrees are valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technology-related sales or business development.
• Experience managing executive customer relationships and key stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Experience with AWS or cloud technologies.
• Experience with national security, defence, or intelligence sectors.
• Knowledge of government procurement frameworks (WoAG, panels, standing offers).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans for national security customers to drive AWS cloud adoption and revenue growth.
• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with C-suite and senior government stakeholders.
• Partner with Solutions Architecture and specialist teams to design and deliver cloud solutions for mission-critical environments.
• Navigate complex government procurement processes and manage multi-year deal cycles.
• Collaborate with AWS Professional Services to implement solutions and packaged offerings.
• Represent AWS at industry events and senior government forums.
• Drive pipeline generation and forecast accuracy across your account portfolio.
