Job summary

HP Recruitment seeks a Head of Safety & Risk to own enterprise risk and national WHS across an Australian infrastructure portfolio, with the autonomy to influence executive decisions from Sydney or Brisbane.

You will lead the ISO 31000-aligned framework, drive ISO 45001/14001/9001 programs, and deliver Board-ready risk reporting. This role offers strategic impact across projects, maintenance and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise risk frameworks aligned with ISO 31000 and reporting to executives or Board.
• Senior WHS leadership across large-scale infrastructure projects or networks.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the ISO 31000-aligned enterprise risk management framework and risk register.
• Lead National WHS policy, procedures, and safety systems across Australia.
• Deliver quarterly risk dashboards and Board materials with actionable insights.
• Strengthen ISO-aligned safety systems (ISO 45001/14001/9001) and psychosocial risk guidance.
• Oversee contractor assurance, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
