Job summary

HRG Recruitment is seeking a Head of Safety & Risk for Digital Infrastructure in Australia. The role oversees national safety and enterprise risk, reporting to executives and embedding ISO-aligned governance across a distributed infrastructure portfolio.

You will lead WHS programs, strengthen ISO 45001/14001/9001 frameworks, and drive contractor assurance, incident management and risk-informed decision making at Board level.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise risk management aligned with ISO 31000.
• Senior WHS/HSE leadership across telecoms, network rollout, infrastructure projects or maintenance.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45003 psychosocial risk guidance.
• Ability to communicate complex safety and risk matters to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the ISO 31000-aligned enterprise risk framework and risk registers.
• Lead National WHS practices, policies and procedures across a distributed portfolio.
• Deliver quarterly board risk reporting and committee materials.
• Strengthen ISO-aligned safety systems and incident/corrective action processes.
• Oversee contractor assurance, site inspections and risk-based governance.
• Improve operational visibility and incident response across projects and operations.
