Job summary

UNSW is seeking a National Policy Manager to plan, develop and implement a national policy and advocacy strategy for the CNS project. You will work with national and interstate teams, researchers, government bodies and funders to secure commitment and drive policy change in First Nations education.

The role reports to the National Chief Investigator and has no direct reports. It requires strong policy, communication and stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to translate research

Qualifications

• Proven experience in policy development and advocacy.
• Experience engaging diverse groups including Aboriginal communities.
• Ability to translate research into accessible policy content.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver the CNS policy and advocacy strategy.
• Collaborate with national/state teams, researchers and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain government and stakeholder relationships at state and federal levels.
• Translate research findings into policy reports and briefing papers.
• Work independently and with interstate teams.
