Job summary

Liberty Oil Australia is seeking a General Manager Operations to lead a large transport and scheduling team, delivering safe, reliable and commercially effective fuel distribution operations nationwide. The role oversees 200+ indirect reports and a fleet of 120+ trucks, balancing safety, service, asset utilisation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in transport, fuel distribution or high-risk operations.
• Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle operations and safety systems.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and managing frontline leaders.
• Commercial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and ensure welfare of employees, contractors and customers.
• Lead transport, scheduling and customer service across national operations.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts and cost-control plans.
• Monitor costs and drive productivity without compromising safety and asset integrity.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to maintain service levels and delivery reliability.
